Coronavirus (Covid-19)

What we are doing to keep your child safe.

We are using protective ‘bubbles’ to help manage risk. A ‘bubble’ is a group of pupils who spend their day together often with the same small group of staff. Children in the ‘bubble’ will spend time together having the same break and lunchtimes.

We will also use the measures with which we are now all familiar:

  • children will wash or sanitise their hands regularly
  • social distancing will be in place where it can be staggered start, finish, break and lunch times will help with the flow of pupils
  • cleaning within classrooms and areas within the school will be done more often
  • we will use contact tracing if there are positive cases

You can download and read our full risk assessment and Covid-19 behaviour and safeguarding policies at the bottom of this page.

How parents and carers can help.

  • Have a morning routine planned so you have time to get up, get ready and get to school on time. Tell your children about the new routine in advance so they know what they need to do and what to expect.
  • Talk to your children about the measures in place in school and reassure them about what is happening.
  • Walk or cycle to school if you can. We understand you want to avoid using public transport, but there are great alternatives to driving, such as cycling or walking, that help reduce traffic on the roads and can be good for your health.
  • If you do need to drive then you should try parking a short distance away from the school as this will help you to avoid the worst traffic and reduce congestion around the school. There is a map at the bottom of the page. Please avoid car sharing.
  • Leave promptly after dropping off or picking up your child.
  • Please try not to come into school, but if you have to then you should wear a face mask.
